Might as well have cooked green eggs and ham...

I made a big batch of hummus last night.  I love hummus.  Love it.  I'm going to end up eating all week in my lunch, along with a big pack of gum so my poor co-workers don't suffer the wrath of my garlic breath.  I also made a lentil rice pilaf which i thought was great, but Preciosa wanted no part of.  She ate a few grains of rice but if it was mixed with a lentil, there was no way it was going near her mouth.  The sweet potato mash was okay, but kind of reminded me of the baby food I used to cook for her.

The plethora of leftovers found their way into both of our lunches today.  Apparently Preciosa cried whenever they tried to get her to eat her lunch.

I just made some hummus yesterday too. I think it's just something that is continuously made in all vegan households :) Hey, so I am dying to know, how good is Sheese? I want to try some SOOO bad and I am tempted to order some, even though it will be so expensive to ship here.

Aw, kids are funny about food, aren't they? I think that plate of food looks good, anyways.

Thanks Theresa :) Carissa, so far I've only tried the "medium cheddar" style of Sheese but I've been very impressed with the results - from pizza to pasta to sandwiches, and crumbled on scrambled tofu. I've tried lots of gross vegan cheeses over the years and this one has never let me down. I find it a bit expensive so I only buy it once in a while though. I'm not sure where you live, but there's some info on the Sheese website about suppliers: http://www.buteisland.com/a_suppliers.htm

It would not let me comment on your post above so I am commenting down here. I always love seeing what you put in your daughters lunch box. It gives me ideas for if I have kids one day :) I absolutely LOVE the little braggs bottle! Where did you get that from? Oh, and the strawberry cream cheese sandwich sounds good right about now.

Thanks for the note Carissa. I'm not sure why it wasn't allowing comments., but I re-published the post and it might be working now. Bah, technical glitches!

I got the soy sauce bottle from Bento TV, link: http://tinyurl.com/29hk22o They have the cutest stuff there!
